What it does

Convert repositories from automatic CI and hosting builds to checkpoint-driven manual gates. Use when asked to reduce GitHub Actions, Vercel, Netlify, Render, or similar hosting build minutes; disable automatic builds on commit, push, or pull request; preserve frequent commits and PRs without spending CI/deploy minutes; add manual workflow_dispatch actions, deploy hooks, or checkpoint SOPs; or bake build-minute guardrails into Product OS/checkpoint workflows.

Try it when you need to…

  1. Reduce GitHub Actions
  2. Vercel
  3. Netlify
  4. Render
  5. Similar hosting build minutes; disable automatic builds on commit

Your first run

  1. Copy or install the complete skill folder so scripts, references, assets, and metadata stay together.
  2. Open the target repo and read its local agent instructions before invoking the skill.
  3. Name the outcome you want, the repo constraints, and any files or routes Codex should avoid.
  4. Review generated scripts, docs, or code before adopting the result into your workflow.

Reference guides

If something gets stuck

The workflow is unavailable

If Codex does not trigger the skill, invoke it by name and include the target repo outcome.

Files or results are missing

If the output has the wrong audience, explicitly say whether the deliverable is public, personal, team-facing, or repo-internal.

The result needs adjusting

If a bundled script fails, follow the skill’s documented working directory and confirm the full skill folder was copied intact.
